Welcome to Schillig Scribbles!

Fabrics, threads and sewing machines have always been a part of Beth’s life.  For nearly 25 years she owned a successful Bernina Sewing Machine dealership; Beth’s Creative Stitchery, in Columbus, Ohio.  It wasn’t until she sold the business 13 years ago, that her interest in quilting was sparked.  And that spark has turned into a whirlwind of a quilting journey!  Her extensive sewing background and the thorough training she received as a machine dealer are evident in her original quilting creations.  Her award winning quilts have been seen at IQA, NQA, AQS, PIQF, MQX, Ohio Designer Craftsman Best of 2018 and other shows around the country.

In recent years, Beth has added hand dyeing to her repertoire.  Now each work of art starts with a plain white fabric.  She colors it with dye and/or paint to obtain the look she wants.  This adds another element of originality and uniqueness to her work.

Beth loves every aspect of creating quilts but feels her true niche is FREEHAND QUILTING on the domestic machine.  She now does all her freehand quilting on a Bernina Q20 which is considered a "sit-down longarm".
